    The LPIS AGM will take place on Wednesday 25th October at 6.30pm


    The venue will be in Westminster (meeting room TBC)


    All members (with latest annual membership fee paid) are invited  


    Any member interested in self-nominating for a position on the executive committee should email labourirish@gmail.com by 5pm Monday 16 October. The current executive committee is listed here

    Guest blog: Labour's Michael Cashman on Northern Ireland marriage equality vote


    As a campaigner for human rights and civil liberties I believe Monday's vote on equal marriage in Northern Ireland is a crucial opportunity for the Assembly to stand up for equality and proudly state that civil marriage should be open to all citizens, whether lesbian, gay or straight. How we treat our citizens defines us as a society, and it cannot be right to continue to discriminate on the basis of a person’s sexuality.
